Carol Burnett is gearing up to celebrate her 90th birthday with a two-hour NBC special featuring Katy Perry and longtime friend Julie Andrews.
Comedy legend Carol Burnett will be celebrating her 90th birthday with some of the biggest names in Hollywood.
NBC Carol announced her upcoming two-hour special on her birthday, Carol Burnett: 90 Years of Laughter + Love.
Burnett will be graced with performances from the likes of Bernadette Peters and Katy Perry while Amy Poehler, Cher, Ellen DeGeneres, Kristen Wiig, and her good friend Julie Andrews are among the celebrities making guest appearances.

Burnett said, according to final date. “I can’t wait to look back on the many great moments throughout my career, I feel very fortunate to have shared this night with everyone.”
Billy Porter, Jane Lynch, Kristin Chenoweth are among the big names slated to star with Aileen Coen, Bill Hader, Bob Mackie, Laura Dern, Lily Tomlin, Marisa Tomei, Sofia Vergara, Steve Carell, Susan Lucci, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Vicki Lawrence is ready to show up.
“This special is going to be the best party ever,” said Executive Producer Mark Bracco. It will be an evening of music, comedy and dozens of big stars paying homage to one and only star Carol Burnett. We can’t wait for everyone at home to celebrate with us properly.
The show will be filmed at the Avalon Hollywood club in Los Angeles and will include a musical tribute celebrating some of her famous performances, according to Deadline.
An Enduring Friendship: She’ll also perform a tribute celebrating her longstanding friendship with Julie Andrews with the song Old Friends

The show will pay tribute to I’m So Glad We Had This Time Together, the theme song from The Carol Burnett Show. The movie will also feature Old Friends, a tribute to her lifelong friendship with Julie Andrews.
Carol Burnett: 90 Years Of Laughter + Love will air on NBC on her birthday, April 26, and will be available to stream the following day on Peacock.
Burnett has worked sparingly over the past few years, starring in the 2020 Netflix movie All Together Now with Auli’i Cravalho and Justina Machado.
She also voiced Windbreeze in the 2020 animated short Trolls Holiday in Harmony and returned as Theresa Stemple in the 2019 episode of the Mad About You revival.

Over the summer, it was announced that she had signed on to guest star in the final season of Better Call Saul.
A singer, actress, and comedian, Burnett is best known for her flagship variety show, The Carol Burnett Show, which ran on CBS from 1967 to 1978 and won 25 Primetime Emmy Awards.
Widely considered a national treasure, it was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President George W. Bush in 2005.
