Straight from Universal Parks & Resorts, the creators of Halloween Horror Nights – the world’s most popular Halloween event – comes an all-new permanent entertainment experience in Las Vegas. This original concept will bring to life Universal’s huge library of classic horror films and today’s scariest tales.

With a variety of unique, immersive, and horror-themed experiences surrounding high-energy food and beverage spaces by day and transformed into bars and restaurants by night, the new concept marks the first time Universal has created an enduring horror experience outside of its theme parks. It will provide the thrills and frights that horror fans have come to love and will thrill anyone looking for a new level of experimental entertainment. The space will also feature a constantly updated experience, must see seasonal events and unique goods.

Universal has long defined the horror genre with its classic films featuring iconic characters like Frankenstein, Dracula, The Mummy and The Wolf Man – and redefined modern horror and suspense through collaborations with iconic filmmakers like Jason Blum, James Wan and Jordan Peele. Only Universal can ignite the suspense and excitement of this genre on such a large scale and in three dimensions.

“Universal is known for its ability to deliver original, highly themed, terrifying horror entertainment experiences to millions of fans each year,” said Paige Thompson, President, New Ventures, Universal Parks & Resorts. “We’re excited to give our global fanbase another way to feel the fear and enjoy the fear in the heart of Las Vegas, the perfect setting for this kind of unique concept.”

AREA15 Global Expansion Area HHN

Universal’s new horror experience will be the anchor tenant in a new 20-acre expansion of Las Vegas’ AREA15 entertainment district that initially opened to the public in September 2020 and has attracted more than four million visitors since that time. Occupying 110,000 square feet, the new Universal Experience is a creative and innovative complement to AREA15’s roots in experimental art and entertainment.

Adding to the excitement of this new experience is the reaction of the Las Vegas community:
