“I’ve seen some comments from people who’ve just had a C-section, asking, ‘What training are you doing? Or, “How many times a week do you work out?” she wrote.

“My answer… I am not training. My body is recovering and I will give it every possible chance to fully recover before I think about moving my body again.

So what happens after six weeks, you book an appointment with your doctor to get their OK to exercise again (THIS IS IMPORTANT!!).

“But I also remember after my last pregnancy thinking….OK, I have OK to exercise, but what exactly can I do??” she continued.

Writing to her 15.4 million followers, she continued, “I recommend going to a professional physical therapist after pregnancy who will check your abs and then be able to provide you with a list of exercises you can do, based on how your body works.”

“…then there’s my post-pregnancy program in the sweat app, to help guide you through the next phase of your fitness journey.”

She explained that a woman recovering from pregnancy should not go straight back to high-intensity workouts.

For me, the journey would look more like this: High Intensity Training > Pregnancy Workouts > Walking > Post Pregnancy Workouts > Low Impact Workouts > High Intensity Training.

Know that you raised and nursed a baby for 9 months. Give it time, don’t set expectations for yourself…and remember, no matter what exercise you can or can’t do…your body is already much stronger and more capable than it was before.

‘number. Absolutely answered.

Another controversial question: I don’t like pregnancy. I am grateful to be blessed with the ability to have a baby. I think I look good pregnant. I love my children. I don’t enjoy being pregnant.

“It’s all just about the fatigue, the nausea, the reflux, the cramps, the uncertainty and so on,” she added.

I’ve had some very bad experiences and counted down the days until I had my baby in my arms. I never missed her.

I just want my healthy baby in my arms right away. Waiting nine months after I had a bad experience even just once is enough for me not to enjoy it.

Son Jax is Kayla’s first child with fiancé Jay Woodruff. She already shares a three-year-old daughter, Arna, with ex-partner Toby Pearce.

“The most amazing thing, coming out, out of nowhere on a completely random playlist the hospital was playing, Jay’s dad’s funeral song started playing over the speakers,” she said.

At the same time I heard Jay announce that he was born.

“I burst into tears, he burst into tears and we were able to meet our baby,” she said.

Kayla said her surgery means she’ll focus on low-intensity workouts while rebuilding her strength.

After Jax was born, she and Jay presented their baby to his older sister Arna, capturing the sweet moment on video.

“Meet our precious baby with the cutest big sister in the world,” she captioned the snap on Instagram.

In July, Kayla announced her pregnancy by uploading an ultrasound photo with Jay while the couple kissed.
