Grandview Speedway kicks off the 2023 season schedule with some exciting new events and tradition fan favorites, Year 61 opening April 1

After a somewhat eventful hiatus, Grandview Speedway is ready to return to racing with an action-packed schedule of over 40 events for the 2023 season.

The 2023 racing season will be the 61stSt Consecutive year of professional stock car racing at Grandview Speedway, and it will once again be under the direction of the founding Rogers family.

The action will get on the track on Saturday, March 18th with the first of nine scheduled Outlaw Racing Series Enduro and Outlaw Racing Series Vintage Car races starting at 1 p.m.

The following Saturday, March 25th will be the annual open practice session free to the public, open to all departments starting at 12 noon. Entrance to the grandstand is free for all spectators while the drivers test their gear for the new season.

61- WrestlingSt The season opener will follow on Saturday, April 1 with 6y Bruce Rogers Annual Memorial Money Maker for Big Block / Small Block Modified. The race holds a rainy date on April 8, and the athlete will also join the program starting at 6 p.m.

Traditional fan favorite events are once again a huge part of the schedule with 53Research and development The annual race to follow, the Firecracker 40 for Sportsman on July 8, the Forrest Rogers Memorial for Modifieds on August 12, and the season-ending Freedom 76 Modified Championship on September 16. The weekly Saturday night racing programming will once again feature the 358 Mods and Sportsters in two segment programming. TP Trailers and T.P Truck Equipment will once again sponsor both divisions in 2023 and give out bonus money to the winners every Saturday night all season.

For next year, there will be multiple Saturday nights when a third division joins the program including some open-wheel entertainment with USAC East Coast Sprints on May 13, MASS Sprints on July 15, URC Sprints on August 26, and the Wingless Super athlete on 2 september.

Other Saturdays with a third class will see the Outlaw Racing Series Vintage cars join in on April 22nd, May 27th, July 22nd and August 19th.

34y The Rogers/Bob Miller family season promoted by Thunder on the Hill Racing Series returns with four events in 2023, including two returning favorites in the Jesse Hockett Classic Eastern Storm featuring the non-wingers USAC National Sprint Tour, and the ever-popular Hodnett Cup PA Series race. 410 Sprint car Speedweek who pays $10,000 to win. Both programs will see 358 mods join the show.

New to the 2023 Thunder on the Hill schedule will be the new Sprint High Limit Series 410 cars that will pay a visit on Tuesday, July 25th. This new series is organized and promoted by 2021 NASCAR Cup Series Champion Kyle Larson and World Outlaws Quad Series Champion Brad Sweet. This Sprint-only event will see drivers race to win a whopping $23,023!

The Back on the Thunder on the Hill schedule will be the second running of the unique event, with Balls to the Wall 50 for the Modifieds on Memorial Day Weekend Sunday, May 28th. 602 athletes will join this holiday programme.

Another new event will take place at the end of the season and is produced by Modified driver Dylan Swinhart, who assembled the All-Elite Racing Series for the 358 Modifieds and 602 Sportsman on Friday, October 6 at 7 p.m. The rain date is the next day.

The remaining dates for the Outlaw Racing Series Enduro and Outlaw Racing Series are April 9, May 5, June 9, July 7, August 4, September 1, and October 23 and 14. These events will also see Class III rotate in at some events throughout the year, including Xcel 600 Modifieds and Slingshots.

Some of the off-track additions this season include Back to the 90’s Night on June 24 (stay tuned for some additional news on this one), Kid’s Money Scramble on July 1, and the return of Hall of Fame Night on August 5, when some new members will be selected and honored. In addition, there will be theme nights once a month on April 15th, May 20th, June 17th, July 22nd, August 12th and September 9th.

Speedway management is once again offering the always popular season passes. Runway passes cover all Saturday night events, from the Bruce Rogers Memorial Money Maker to the Freedom 38 Sportsman and Freedom 76 Modified Championship races in September. The Season Pass does not include special Rogers/Bob Miller family events promoted by Thunder on the Hill, or Outlaw Racing Series Enduro/Vintage specials.

Season passes, at $400 per ticket, can be requested by mailing a check or money order to Grandview Speedway, 87 Wilt Road, Bechtelsville, Pa. 19505. When ordering, please be sure to indicate the name of the pass holder. To speed up the delivery process, please send a self-sealed envelope.
