StretchLabSt. George is owned and operated by MeLisa and DJ Dickinson. The husband and wife duo are experienced entrepreneurs with a passion for fitness. DJ Dickinson is also the owner of a successful construction company, and MeLisa Dickinson has a background in the medical industry. Everyone who has an active lifestyle has seen the importance of stretching firsthand.

“My husband enjoys running marathons and competing in triathlons, so when he tore his rotator cuff and lost his ability to keep up with his regular exercise routine, we were devastated,” said Mai Lisa Dickinson. “After the surgical repair, we tried traditional physical therapy, but after completing the recommended number of sessions, we wanted to increase his range of motion so he could stay active.”

After discussing their goals with a friend, Dickinson StretchLab’s services were recommended.

“We started seeing improvement very soon after we started the weekly sessions,” MeLisa Dickinson recalls. “I had just come off a break from high-intensity lifting, and my body wasn’t adjusting normally. I’ve always been good at stretching after a workout, but nothing got me back into shape the way my StretchLab sessions did, and the consistency of weekly work with my flexologists kept me injury-free.” The list of benefits goes on and on.”

StretchLab offers a variety of one-on-one personal stretching services, including a 25-minute stretch that focuses on the client’s current stretching needs, as well as a 50-minute head-to-toe stretch. Stretches that target all major muscle groups.

In addition to individual stretching services, two mini-stretching groups are available, where a flexologist leads clients through warm-up and stretching sequences to address major muscle groups. Monthly memberships are available for four or 12 visits per month for single or shared plans as well as extensions.

St. George Studio will also introduce TRX MAPS, a revolutionary machine that identifies movement deficiencies across four basic categories: mobility, activation, posture, and symmetry. A MAPS score is generated using 3D technology to perform a full body motion assessment scan in less than 30 seconds as users perform three bodyweight squats.

Results are delivered on screen and via email, which will allow StretchLab’s resilience specialists to better serve the needs of its diverse members. This creates a customized movement plan and provides a measurable way to see progress in flexibility.

StretchLabSt. George is open Monday through Thursday from 8am to 8pm, as well as Friday from 8am to 2pm and Saturday from 9am to 2pm. The studio can be accessed online at stretchlab.comAnd by e-mail at [email protected] or by phone at 435-289-6744.
