Since I turned 81 last summer, Martha Stewart I opened it for the first time Restaurant in Las Vegas And draw attention Disguised wearing only apron. The media mogul says she has no plans to slow down anytime soon. “I’m not going to start living badly just because I’m older,” she tells Yahoo Life. “Once you have lived well, you must always live well.”
The popular TV personality says she has established some degree of accountability in her life as she ages, to ensure she continues to live the best life she can. “I have a deal—we all, all of my friends—we have a deal where if we start acting like a little old lady and don’t care what our house looks like, or how it smells, or anything else, we get killed,” she says. “We were killed, we just finished.”
Her keys to avoiding “old lady” status? Daily exercise, healthy food, and time with the ones she loves, whether they are her close friends or her grandchildren, with whom she just traveled to Madagascar.
“[It’s important to] Keep up with the grandkids and find out who they are and what they do without intruding,” Stewart says. I travel the world with my grandson and we just got back from Madagascar… They learned how to scuba dive, we took long walks through the bush, visited primitive villages and learned a lot about growing seaweed. We’ve been looking for lemurs. with cameras – And at the end of a journey like this, what I want to hear when you ask, “How did you like it?” is, “Oh, we loved it.”
Stewart’s favorite form of exercise is Pilates, although she still enjoys riding horses on her New York ranch and frequenting the gym. “It’s about being aware of the things around you and living a good, healthy life,” she says. “And going to Pilates at 6:30 in the morning, which I did this morning. I try to go to Pilates as many times a week as I can.”
“A healthy lifestyle is very important to me,” she adds. “Eating healthy is very important. Having a healthy life and working – I never think about retirement, it’s a foreign thing for me.”

The newest cookie from the popular cookie brand, is Most of the Oreos are Oreos, featuring two basic chocolate chip cookies stuffed with the creamiest filling ever, with crushed Oreo cookies mixed into the filling. Because Oreo believes that a cookie “literally stuffed with itself is very identifying,” the brand launched aurifer, its first metaverse experience, complete with games and prizes. Stewart plans to test out the Oreoverse herself, and shares that she’s no stranger to virtual reality.
says Stewart, who attends Consumer Electronics Show “Every year just to watch” what’s happening in the tech world. “I was one of the first to experiment. It’s scary in a way, but also fun in a way… I’m so excited to see and be involved in the Oreoverse. I know I’ll be wearing my headset and I can’t wait to see what I get to experience.”
Stewart’s favorite way to enjoy real cookies is a tried and true one. “It’s kind of a good snack when you want a little chocolate and a little cream—to dip in a glass of milk,” she says. “I use skim milk because I’m watching my waistline, but a nice glass of iced milk and an Oreo cookie is a nice snack.”
Stewart is going to visit the Oreoverse with her friend and gardener Ryan McCallister. She says that time spent with friends is a big part of what makes her feel young. “Keeping up with friends is fine,” she says, “and have fun dinner parties and dinners every night if you can with friends, depending on how busy your family life is.”
In addition to virtual reality, Stewart says she’s focusing on social media these days, describing it as something “on everyone’s mind, on everyone’s phone and on their computer.”
“Social media is very important,” she adds. “You have to know what’s up, what’s working well, what’s working well, what’s not working, and how to get people to pay more attention to what you’re all about what you’re trying to promote.”
But what Stewart thinks of the viral response from fans regarding her September 2022 decision pose in a square only? “I think people like to look at pretty things, and if you feel pretty and can afford everything, then do it,” she says.
