Samsung Galaxy S22: These are the current market prices
Yesterday, it was officially announced when the Galaxy S23 series will be presented. The Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra will be unpacked at an open event on February 1st. In a separate article, we have already discussed in detail why buying the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 + or Galaxy S22 Ultra is still worth it. Among other things, it has to do with the fact that the models are only about a year old. Samsung promises relatively long updates for many models, up to four years of UI or Android version updates and up to five years of regular security updates.

The Galaxy S22 is still attractive because the past has shown that the price of Samsung’s Android models can drop quickly. The Galaxy S23 Ultra is said to have a 200MP camera. Another innovation must be found in the field of CPU. Instead of Exynos, Germany’s Galaxy S series should now also work with Snapdragon processors.
If you can do without it, with the Galaxy S22 (+) and Galaxy S22 Ultra you get models that can still hold their own and should run for a few more years with the latest software. After the official dump date is announced, below we’ll take a look at what the 2022 models currently cost. We determined market prices (as of January 12, around 4:30 p.m.) using price search engines such as Idealo and billiger.de. We have not taken into account offers from online marketplaces that may be cheaper than the stated prices. Market prices for smartphones can change quickly. Therefore, it is recommended to compare prices.

Market prices are very attractive
In the article linked above “This is why the Galaxy S22 is still worth buying”, we also did the price comparison on December 13 last year. The current market prices for the 128GB Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra in Phantom Black are slightly lower than they were about four weeks ago. This also shows that the cheapest smartphone prices need not necessarily be found during supply periods such as the pre-Christmas period.
The current prices are very good. With any luck, they might drop a bit now that Samsung released the Galaxy S23 series.
