Samsung today released software updates for the Galaxy Buds2 Pro series and Galaxy Watch. The new 360° Audio Recording feature enables unique surround sound recordings with the Galaxy Buds2 Pro. The new update of the Galaxy Watch series now allows for easier remote control of the zoom function on the camera controller.

360° Audio Recording: Hear the world as it really is
New 360-degree sound recording function1 Captures audio recordings in a lifelike ambient environment. By combining the Galaxy Buds2 Pro with a Galaxy smartphone, realistic, high-quality audio recordings can be obtained. This means that all amateur filmmakers can now say, “Stop the sound!” Because bulky professional audio equipment is no longer required. Each individual microphone on the Galaxy Buds2 Pro records the 360-degree soundscape. Whether it’s a raucous festival crowd at a concert or audio recordings in the great outdoors: the result is an audio experience right in the middle.
The new 360-degree audio recording functionality is the first in the Galaxy series to use the LE Audio standard over Bluetooth. The technology provides higher sound quality as well as improved latency and battery life compared to Bluetooth. However, LE Audio doesn’t just enable a high-quality audio experience. From now on, binaural recording is also possible with the Galaxy Buds2 Pro. This results in a spatial listening impression that is as realistic as possible. Once the Galaxy Buds2 Pro is paired with the Galaxy Z Flip4 or Galaxy Z Fold4, the new feature can take full effect.
Perfect recordings from the wrist – camera controller
Photo and video productions with Galaxy smartphones are all about maintaining creative control in every situation. With the Camera Controller app for the Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch5 series, this is possible right from your wrist. With software update, camera controller2 With a convenient zoom function. It is activated with a simple tap on the screen and can be set with the bezel. The function is ideal for group photos or individual selfies from a distance, because the photo section can be easily adjusted via the remote control.

The new 360-degree audio recording feature launches today and will be available worldwide for Galaxy Bud2 Pro, Galaxy Z Flip4, and Galaxy Z Fold4 starting January 17th.3 The Camera Controller update will be available for download on the Galaxy Watch5, Watch5 Pro, Watch4, and Watch4 Classic from February 2023.
