TSV scores 1860: Captain Marcel Barr is invisible, Jesper Verlat wanted too much against former club Mannheim

Munich – TSV 1860 missed the start of the competitive game year 2023. In the pursuit duel in Waldhof Mannheim, the Lions were beaten 1:3. The Sixties in Single Review:

Marco Heller – Note 4: Good positional play at first when Mannheim tries, but then a completely unnecessary bounce at Lebo’s feet, equalizing for Sohm (28′) and spoiling the keeper’s performance. Then against the strong Somme (39). Unable to compromise on other goals.

Christopher Lannert – Note 4: Because Yannick Deichmann was absent for a short time due to illness, the Munich native was allowed to play. As usual, defensively committed and generally reliable. Attack impulses are very few.

Leandro Morgalla in Mannheim Best Lion

LEANDRO MORGALLA – Note 3: Quite clean performance with stunning clarity. It’s always hard to believe that Morgalla is only 18 years old. Save much needed by Martinovic (39). The only poor positional play in Sohm’s 1-2 lead (58), but it was the last in the string of errors. best lion

JESPER VERLAAT – Note 5: Sliding into the void against Martinovic, which could have been costly. I was looking for the right timing for the duel, and sometimes it didn’t seem lively enough. Almost a goal kick shortly after half-time, so negative against Martinovic before 1:2. Did he want that much in his former club?

Philip Steinhart – Note 4: He had the right nose for the first attacking approach of the Lions and surprised the Mannheim defense, including the goalkeeper, with a good header (seventh). It was duly ordered by Lebeau. It was also dismantled in the second round.

TIM RIEDER – Note 3: At first very attentive as a vacuum cleaner in front of the defense, he was involved in a duel and then an extra assist at 1: 0. But that was before he entered the first goal. Not at that level then, but still one of the bright spots.

Holzhauser dropped significantly in the second half

Martin Koplanski – Note 4: Less visible on Holzhauser’s side than he probably intended. In the second half with two or three clever passes, but the overall performance was insufficient. The equalizer was on his head (83), but he clearly missed the goal.

RAPHAEL HOLZHAUSER – Note 4: The right to play was there at the right time and the newcomer was already on the field. First good technical work in the 11th minute, then an important defensive tackle. But it slipped a bit in the second period when his initiative was required.

Albion Frenzy – Note 4: He put Heller under pressure with an unnecessary back pass, then a poor agility and variable position. However, his passing game was generally error-prone and the offensive actions were largely unlucky.

Skenderovic almost ineffective

MERIS SKENDEROVIC – NOTE 4: As a native of Mannheim City, he was preferred over ex-Mannheimer Joe Boyamba after Stefan Lakes withdrew because he played too convincingly in the last test. A debatable scene when he grabbed the jersey in the 37th minute, just before finishing. Otherwise, it is almost ineffective.

Marcel Bohr – Note 5: He is almost invisible in the first half, also because he didn’t play enough. But he occupied the ball before 1: 0. After the substitution of Vrenezi, he temporarily moved to the left wing. Seegert stopped him in the six-yard box (89′), there was no more danger.

Joseph Boyamba – Note 5: He came to Vrenezi an hour later. It should stimulate aggressive actions, but it remains pale. A clumsy mistake (90 + 3) costs time.

FYNN LAKENMACHER – Note 5: Skenderovic was substituted on the hour mark and moved to the central striker position for Bär. barely showed up.

Simi Belkahia – Uncategorized: Ridden by Kolner for Lannert in the closing stages, he then switched positions with Morgalla. Quick finishing from a distance (90 + 1).
