VfL Bochum has signed Cameroonian international Pierre Conde Malong (27).
The 27-year-old midfielder is from Olympiacos Piraeus on loan to the Bundesliga club until June 30, 2023. As the neighborhood club announced on Friday, the agreement includes a purchase option.
“Pierre Conde Malong is an asset to our team because of his technical and tactical skills as well as his dynamism and strength. The fact that he knows the Bundesliga and has already fought successfully with Mainz to stay in the league is another plus point,” said sporting director Patrick Fabian, 35, “in addition to his international experience. Chelsea signed French defender Benoit Badiachel (21).
The 1.94m forward has signed a contract with the Premier League club valid for seven and a half years until June 30, 2030. The Londoners announced this on Thursday. World football champion Enzo Fernandez (21) should prepare for trouble at Benfica Lisbon.
As coach Roger Schmidt said at the UEFA Champions League press conference on Thursday, the Argentine was recently at home without the permission of his employer. “He missed training, that would have consequences, but I won’t mention them now,” Schmidt said, also commenting on the whereabouts of the descending star in Benfica’s world champions team.
Chelsea want to sign Fernandez, but his contract in Lisbon is valid until mid-2027. He only moved to Europe from River Plate in Buenos Aires last year. According to reports, the exit clause is said to be €120m and Chelsea are very interested in the Premier League.
Such a situation could confuse the young player a bit, Schmidt said, and explained: “We don’t want to sell him. I don’t, the boss doesn’t – nobody.”
Schmidt stressed that they tried to lure Fernandez, knowing that they would only be able to get him if they paid the transfer fee. It is said that the offer was much lower. “This club is ignoring all of us. It’s not acceptable,” the 55-year-old said in a directive to the Englishman.

Third division team SV Meppen has signed a new striker in Marek Jansen (25).
The 25-year-old comes to Emsland from promoted regional league Tus Blau Weiß Lohne. Meppen was only able to win 2 of their 17 first round matches, and currently sits penultimate in the third league.
Jan. 5, 4:24 p.m.: Schalke bring the left-back back from France
FC Schalke 04 is about to go on loan at the left-back.
An agreement has been reached verbally with Jiri Oronen (28 years old) from Brest Stadium, the medical examination and the completion of some formalities are still pending. If all goes well, the 28-year-old should join the squad in Turkey on Friday.

Ecuadorian player Carlos Groizo is said to be on the verge of leaving FC Augsburg.
As “Augsburger Allgemeine” and “Kicker” report, the defensive midfielder is said to want to leave the Bundesliga football club in the winter. The 27-year-old did not travel to a training camp in Spain with Augsburg.
Gruezo came from FC Dallas in the summer of 2019 and his contract runs until the end of June 2024. The Augsburg regular reportedly wants to return to the United States. Diego Diem, who switched from RB Leipzig to SSC Napoli in January 2020, has been mentioned as a possible replacement.

One round trip, please. This is how Jerome Onegin’s adventure can be summed up.
The 25-year-old defender moved from Austria to Frankfurt in the summer but has never made a competitive appearance. He has a contract with Eintracht until the end of June 2027, but is now on loan at RB.
“We are delighted that Jerome is back and we are convinced that he can help us. We know him well from the past and appreciate his qualities,” said RB sporting director Christoph Freund.

FC St. Pauli hit the transfer market and one A new center back has signed.
As announced by the Hamburg club, on Thursday, Estonian international Karol Mets (29) is moving from Swiss champion FC Zurich to Millerntor.
The 29-year-old is on loan until the end of the season, but St. Pauli have been given an option to buy.
“FC St. Pauli is a great opportunity for me to be able to play football in Germany. The club is known internationally, and I’m really looking forward to the first game at Millerntor. Talks with those in charge also convinced me in terms of where it comes from,” says the newcomer.
